This is the only arraigo authorisation that does not require any previous time in Spain, and the one with the longest duration: it is granted for five years.
RD 1155/2024 narrowed its scope. It is no longer the route for family members of Spanish citizens: those cases are handled under the EU family member regime.
- Parents, guardians or carers of a minor who is a national of an EU Member State, the EEA or Switzerland, provided they live in Spain, have the child in their care and live with them.
- Family members providing support to a person with a disability who is an EU/EEA/Swiss national, where that person depends on them and they live together.
- Prove the family tie or the support relationship and the cohabitation.
- Prove that the minor or the person with a disability is in your care.
- No criminal record in Spain or in the countries of residence over the last 5 years.
- No entry ban in Spain.
